#ZEROIMPACT


The United Nations Economic and Social Council has identified the circular economy as ‘a tool that presents solutions to some of the world’s most pressing cross-cutting sustainable development challenges.

During SHU2021 we intend to embrace and support digital solutions that facilitate the application of circular economy principles to environmental protection issues, with the goal of protecting, restoring and promoting sustainable use of the Earth’s ecosystem (Goal 15 of the 2030 Agenda) ________________________

Solution 1 #zeroimpact 1 – Impatt0

To raise awareness about the human impact on the environment and increase knowledge about one’s daily impact, to promote good habits and behaviour change, the team has proposed a web platform able to collect and showcase verified sources’ information and tutorials from the web on the topic. The platform is also be empowered and enriched by the collaboration with an existent national association locally active in research and awareness raising through its branches in many Italian regions.

Solution 2: #zeroimpact 2 – Circular Colfiorito

The project objective is to showcase and promote the local transition to a circular economy. Designed for the small community hosting the event, the village of Colfiorito, the project could also be scaled-up for larger communities. It consists in a website format aiming to showcase local examples of circular economy pioneers, already involved and active in the transformation of the economy. Through multimedia storytelling, including video stories, interviews, gamification & creative data visualisation, the platform will be used to point the way to the future, to inspire and provide people with the tools to be involved or to deepen personal and professional knowledge.
